Observability (in email infrastructure)

Observability is the ability to see what sending infrastructure is doing from its outputs: per-message delivery logs, queue metrics, per-provider response and deferral rates, latency distributions. In MailOps, observability is provider-aware by necessity. The question is rarely "is the MTA up" and usually "what is Gmail doing to us right now."
